Dr. Michelle Dowell

Dr. Michelle Dowell graduated from the University of the West Indies Cavehill Campus attaining a degree in Bachelor of Medical Sciences with distinction and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery in 2016. She completed her internship at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital and has then worked in the Ophthalmology department as a senior house officer. She is currently working in the Neuro-Ophthalmology and Oculoplastics sub-specialty services in the department and is pursuing a career in Ophthalmology. Dr. Dowell is currently involved in Ophthalmology research projects with the aim of bettering care for patients in Barbados . Aside from her medical background she shows passion and particular interest in obstacle course racing as a hobby.
